What a night it was at the MTV Miaw 2024! The standout stars of the evening were Yeri Mua and Cry, both content creators and influencers who, despite their friendship being a thing of the past, walked away with the top awards.
From the moment they announced Young Miko and Ricky Limón as hosts, we knew it would be unforgettable. The evening kicked off at 8:35 PM with Miko, Danna , and Gabito Ballesteros lighting up the stage. Miko got everyone excited with his hit single «Tamagotchi» and made sure to thank his fans.
Danna won the first award, ‘Pop Explosion of the Year,’ and celebrated enthusiastically, declaring, “Long live Mexican reggaeton!” Some also took the opportunity to poke fun at Bellakath (a renowned influencer in Mexico), who has recently had disagreements with Danna.
The music kept going with Michelle Maciel and her song «CCC,» proving that ‘corridos tumbados’ are still going strong. Gabito Ballesteros also wowed the audience with «Neta» and «Perfecta» — what a performance!
Yeri Mua was honored with the Icon MIAW award, stunning in a white dress adorned with a black bow and her signature red ponytail. She graciously thanked both her fans and critics, demonstrating she knows how to handle the spotlight . The night wrapped up with Danna’s mesmerizing and dance-filled performance, leaving everyone in awe. Meanwhile, Cry took home the ‘Content Creator of the Year’ award.
Before the ceremony, the green carpet saw stars like Young Miko, Danna, El Malilla, Aaron Mercury, Karely Ruiz, Emilio Osorio, and many others, all dressed to impress.
