Belinda is one of Mexico’s most iconic pop stars—and her influence is growing steadily in the U.S. Now, over a decade after releasing her last album Catarsis, she’s making a powerful comeback with a long-awaited project: Indómita. Set to drop on June 5, this marks her fifth studio album.
This new chapter began almost a year ago with the release of ‘Cactus’, a song that quickly grabbed attention due to its rumored links to her personal life, specifically her past relationship with Christian Nodal.
But beyond the speculation, this song marked a bold shift for Belinda—both musically and visually. Long associated with mainstream pop, she surprised fans by embracing a sound rooted in corridos tumbados and estilo bélico, revealing a side that’s raw, emotional, and deeply empowered.
In Indómita, Belinda fully embraces her femininity and turns it into a message of strength. The album is packed with songs that celebrate independence, resilience, and inner power, showing that this new era of Beli isn’t afraid to be vulnerable—and fierce at the same time.
Indómita is a word used to describe someone who can’t be controlled or subdued—someone who stays free, strong, and true to themselves no matter the situation. It can refer to a bold, rebellious spirit or a powerful force of nature that refuses to be tamed.
Belinda chose this title because it represents the personal journey she’s gone through over the past few years. In her own words, she faced a dark time where criticism and self-doubt made her feel insecure. But through that struggle, she found strength within herself—and gave it a name: Indómita.

“For me, INDÓMITA—and the album as a whole—is like a movement. It’s about a strong, independent woman. Someone who, even when told what to do in her career, follows her heart and stands by what she believes is right,” Belinda explained.
Belinda finds inspiration in women who are strong, creative, and complex—like Frida Kahlo and Joan of Arc. These are women who made history and, like Belinda, faced their own challenges without ever compromising who they truly were. Her goal is clear: to encourage people to fight for what they want, to embrace who they truly are, and to remember that their voice has value.
“More than anything, I want to inspire women who feel like they can’t speak up, who think they don’t have a say, who feel like they’re not enough or don’t deserve to be heard, seen, or respected… This album is deeply rooted in female empowerment,” she shared.

Indómita includes 17 tracks, with several collaborations featuring some of the biggest names in Latin music today—Kenia OS, Natanael Cano, and Xavi, among others. One of the album’s most surprising moments is ‘Never Not Love You,’ an unexpected and daring collaboration with Thirty Seconds to Mars, bringing together two very different musical worlds in a bold and exciting way.

Belinda doesn’t just see herself as indómita. She wants her audience, especially women who sometimes doubt their worth, to take away a powerful message: we all have the strength to be indómita. That inner force is what helps us rise, persevere, and shine—without needing anyone’s permission.
