None of his performances have earned him recognition from the Academy, and though it seems unlikely at the moment, he is one of the prominent figures attending this year’s edition. However, he won’t be performing:
As is the case every year, the Academy has revealed who will be the presenters taking the stage during the ceremony, and the second batch comes with a surprise. Among Jennifer Lawrence, Dwayne Johnson, Chris Hemsworth, and Octavia Spencer is Bad Bunny, although his exact role on stage has not been disclosed yet.

It was already known that Becky G would be responsible for bringing Latin rhythm to the night by performing on stage with «The Fire Inside,» Diane Warren’s song for «Flamin’ Hot» (though it is mostly pop). Bad Bunny and Rita Moreno will also participate, presumably presenting an award. Moreno can boast of winning the statuette in 1962 for her role in «West Side Story,» a role that Ariana DeBose repeated in 2022.

The countdown to see Bad Bunny at the Oscars has begun, although what the audience is eager to know is who will take home the night’s big triumph. Will it be «Barbie,» confirming its phenomenon?
