On March 10th, we’ll find out who wins at the Oscars this year. But before that, on January 23rd, we’ll learn about the nominees who could be up for this prestigious award. And even earlier, we’ve already heard about the potential candidates in some categories, including music.  When it comes to the list of original songs that might win an Oscar, there are fifteen contenders. Three of them have already been featured in big movies this year, especially in Barbie.

We also know the list of finalists for the Best Original Score category, which includes well-known composers like Ludwig Göransson (Oppenheimer), the late Robbie Robertson (Killers of the Flower Moon), the ever-reliable John Williams (Indiana Jones and the dial of destiny), as well as Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt (Barbie), Mica Levi (The Zone of Interest), and Jon Batiste (American Symphony).
