Bad Bunny has finally brought us the announcement we were looking for. Just moments ago, the global reggaeton star uploaded a clip to his Instagram profile, very Jersey cut and Peaky Blinders-style, where he is seen dressed in black, covered up, entering a restaurant under the watchful gaze of the diners. A man welcomes him, calling him «Don Benito,» in a scene that reminds us a bit of The Godfather (perhaps that’s why the artist was filming with Al Pacino a few weeks ago…), and suddenly, a trap beat starts playing, announcing the upcoming release of his album, «Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana,» which will be available on Friday, October 13th.
A highly anticipated announcement that we had already suspected amid the rumors after several days and various media outlets assuring that a new studio album from the Puerto Rican artist was on the horizon, Bad Bunny has decided to put an end to the rumors by confirming that a new musical era is indeed coming.
Before all of this, on Saturday, October 7th, the artist spoke out on his WhatsApp channel: «I’m fed up. Listen to me, and only me. Have I said anything?» he said, implying that once again, the information about the album was false. But just a few hours ago, Benito posted a tweet in which he contradicts himself, confirming that a new tracklist with 22 songs is on the way.
We are getting closer and closer to being able to listen to «Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana,» and we have too many questions. What will Benito’s style be like in this new era, which seems to hint at a strong return to trap? Will we see «El Conejo Malo» in his most «gangsta» performance as one of the most wanted bad guys of the last decade? We can’t wait to find out!
