Forbes has published an updated ranking of the 100 most successful women entrepreneurs, executives and entertainers. A list of the biggest ‘richest self-made women’ in different sectors: from agriculture and architecture to books and beauty products.

But, what about our celebrities? Oprah, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian are some of the big names in the ranking. They have worked hard, broke records and earned a key position in the industry.

Here are the top 10 American richest celebrities, according to Forbes:

Oprah Winfrey ($2,5 billion)

Oprah Winfrey is not only a TV icon in the entertainment sector, but she also owns an important business in the real estate sector. She recently purchased new properties in Maui, adding them to a portfolio that already integrates lands in California and Wyoming. Now she’s also producing a Stephen Spielberg-directed remake of ‘The Color Purple’.

Kim Kardashian ($1.2 billion)

Kim Kardashian needs no presentation because it’s almost impossible to not know who she is. The TV star is always reinventing herself and maintaining the attention of the audiences (with the clever help of the Momager, Kris Jenner, of course).

She started gaining public relevance with her family reality show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ and later elevated her financial success with fashion and beauty companies, ‘Skims’ and ‘SKKN’. Now she’s even joining the season 12 cast of ‘American Horror Story’, premiering this year.

Taylor Swift ($740 million)

If you read the news every morning you should already know that Taylor Swift breaks a record almost everyday.

The ninth-highest learning entertainer of 2022 had a massive year after the release of her album ‘Midnights’ and the beginning of her Eras Tour. She sold 2 million-plus tickets for her concert on a single day…. Iconic.

Kylie Jenner ($680 million)

The social media star and businesswoman has already been called the youngest self-made billionaire when she was only 21 (although there was a little controversy about this, since Forbes released a statement in May 2020 accusing Kylie Jenner of forging tax documents so she would appear as billionaire).

Now Kylie is only 25 and she hasn’t stopped working in ‘Kylie Cosmetics’, her pioneer celebrity make-up brand that stands at a valuation of nearly $900 million.

Madonna ($580 million)

The Queen of Pop has gained a massive recognition (and patrimony) for her continual reinvention and versatility in music and songwriting, breaking all the barriers for the artistic expression of women in the mainstream ambit.

Madonna recently agreed to cro-write and direct her own biopic together with Ozark’s Emmy winning star Julia Garner. Moreover, she’ll kick off her upcoming Celebration tour in July.

Beyoncé Knowles ($540 million)

Beyoncé is now running headlines with her Renaissance World Tour, which kicked off last May. Queen Bey is undoubtedly another of our pop culture icons, widely recognized for her revolutionary artistic creation and vocal performances. She’s been also named the highest-earning black musician of all time by Billboard and the eight-greatest singer of all time by Rolling Stone.

Beyoncé keeps building her empire after dropping her seventh album, ‘Renaissance’, with which she broke the most Grammy wins in history. Moreover, she recently purchased a $200 million Malibu Mansion with her husband Jay-Z.

Celine Dion ($480 million)

Celine Dion (a.k.a the Queen of Power Ballads) is widely noted for her powerful voice and epic hits that incorporate pop, R&B, rock and classic music.

Earnings from her residency in Las Vegas represent the majority of her wealth. Moreover, she released a recent rom-com soundtrack composed of five new songs. However, in December 2022 she publicly announced she’s suffering from a rare neurological disorder that affects her ability to sing.

In 2021 she launched the spinoff streaming series Judy Justice. Moreover, in 2022 Judy Sheidlin became the only TV arbitrator to have won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program for more than one court show.
