Saiko Considers Taking A Temporary Break For Mental Well-Being

His words reveal a challenging personal situation

Saiko announced a comprehensive tour of shows in mid-February to connect with audiences in his home country, Spain, starting in April of this year. However, just a few days later during an interview, the singer confirmed that he is considering a temporary retreat for his mental health.

“When I release the album, I’ll mark my own ‘Pedro (Quevedo) moment’… But when I release the album and have done my thing and established myself. But right now, I can’t. If you notice, the last track I released was ‘Reina’ in September. For the rest of the months, I didn’t want to release more tracks. What I wanted was to release the album. People ask for the album, and I can’t rest because right now I’m at the point where I need to release the album.”

Saiko’s words are as sincere as they are harsh, as they speak to the fact that his personal situation is far from good. When I release the album, I’ll take a breather… But not until then, and once I’ve done my thing and established myself. But right now, I can’t. If you notice, the last track I dropped was ‘Reina’ in September. For the following months, I didn’t want to release any more tracks. All I wanted was to drop the album. People are asking for it, and I can’t rest because I’m at the point where I need to release the album.”

If all goes as planned and discussed in recent times, that project should theoretically reach everyone next May, almost coinciding with the live shows in Spain we mentioned earlier in the news. But nothing is guaranteed because, as the musician admitted, he hasn’t been feeling his best when it comes to releasing other songs lately.

I Feel Terrible…

“I take a break, and then what happens? Do I miss out on festivals this year and end up starving, wasting opportunities…? I’ve been feeling so low because I wanted to disappear and do nothing, but I can’t. So I try to do things, go to the studio, and nothing comes out. From September until now, I’ve been releasing tracks, but they’re just filler, like I don’t care… All these months, I’ve wanted to rest, and I’ve been pretty bad, and it kept getting worse. Psychologically, I was really struggling, really bad. I’ve been really scared, thinking the tour is over, and everything’s gone to hell…” he expressed.

“It’s been a couple of months since I left planet Earth to explore a new galaxy called Sakura. During this time, I’ve created a bunch of new projects, and above all, my new album, which is coming out very soon…” the artist said in the video before announcing the tour dates.
