Quevedo Stays True to ‘Ahora qué’ by Wiping Social Media Posts for 2024

There's no sign of the Spanish artist on his Instagram profile

“2021 sow, 2022 reap, 2023 crown, 2024 disappear.” Through one of his songs, Quevedo hinted that, after a year of remarkable achievements like securing several number 1 hits on LOS40, winning the title of Best Urban Artist at the LOS40 Music Awards Santander 2023, and clinching the Best Urban Song award alongside Bizarrap at the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards, he would be taking a well-deserved break this year.

To our surprise, the artist took this verse from «AHORA QUÉ» quite literally and wiped his Instagram profile clean, despite having more than 3 million followers. Not a trace remains of the photos he had been sharing all this time. His account now has just a profile picture and a lone hashtag, ‘#2023.’

On X (formerly Twitter), he seems to have followed a similar path towards temporary anonymity. However, before doing so, he took a moment to wish everyone happy holidays with a warm “Feliz Navidad uapooss” and extended his best wishes for 2024 to all his followers. On New Year’s Eve, he wrote, “What an amazing year it has been!! I appreciate all of you for your support, making 2023 an unforgettable year🖤🖤 Happy New Year, and may all your dreams come true.”

Does This Mean He’s Retiring from Music?

Not at all. As he explained in an interview last March when he released his album Dónde quiero estar (Where I Want to Be), Pedro clarified, “I said I was stepping away from music at the time, but that’s far from the truth. I simply want the freedom to create songs when inspiration strikes and pursue my own path without being swept up in the whirlwind as I have in the past.”
