Now, fans on social media are wondering if this might be the case for pop princess Sabrina Carpenter and Mexican corridos tumbados star Peso Pluma. Media outlets like Univision, Us Weekly en Español, and E! Now Latino have pointed to a rumored romance, sparked by a recent connection between the two. But what’s the real story?

A Year of Breakups and New Romances

Carpenter recently ended her high-profile relationship with Barry Keoghan, star of Saltburn (2023), after a year together. According to a source close to the pair, they decided to take some time apart to focus on their careers, given that both are prominent in their respective fields.

On the other hand, “La Doble P”, after a second successful year (albeit less high-profile than in 2023), reportedly ended his relationship with model and influencer Hannah Howell late this summer. The split made waves on social media and seemingly didn’t end on good terms.

However, unlike Sabrina, Peso Pluma may have found love again (or at least has been romantically linked) with Daniela Rosalía Esparragoza, a Mexican model and influencer from Jalisco. She is the granddaughter of Juan José Esparragoza Moreno, alias “El Azul,” one of the founders of the Sinaloa Cartel. Still, the singer has never publicly confirmed this relationship. Could something have blossomed between him and the Espresso singer instead?

The “Signs” of a Connection Between Peso Pluma and Sabrina Carpenter

There are several gestures fueling speculation about a possible connection between Peso Pluma and Sabrina Carpenter, although none seem to fully explain the recent surge in rumors about the two.

First, a photo of the two posing together and smiling has resurfaced. But it’s not exactly a recent picture. In fact, it’s from April this year, when they both attended Coachella.

It’s also been suggested that the two stars started following each other on social media around the time of Sabrina’s breakup. But this isn’t true either—the artists have been following each other since they first met at the iconic festival in Inglewood last spring.

Another detail fueling the rumors is that Peso Pluma reportedly shared a picture wearing a hat featuring one of the iconic lyrics from Espresso: “I’m working late… cause I’m a singer.” Sabrina supposedly reposted this on her profile. This is true, but it happened back in October.

Most of the speculation seems to stem from Sabrina’s recent breakup with Barry Keoghan. At this point, there don’t seem to be any concrete signs of a closer relationship between the two artists (though, of course, if there were, it wouldn’t necessarily have to be public). Additionally, there’s no indication of a possible collaboration between the two, which would be exciting enough on its own!
