The 21st edition of the Premios Juventud 2024 has arrived! One of the most anticipated ceremonies in Hispanic entertainment took place at the ‘José Miguel Agrelot’ Coliseum in Puerto Rico. This year’s event was held on July 25th and was broadcast live from 7 PM ET / 6 PM CT on Univision.
Through a voting process, the audience chose their favorite artists for each category, being the most nominated artists. Karol G and Peso Pluma were the top winners, each taking home five awards. The Colombian superstar won in categories like Female Artist and Best Urban Album for Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season), while the Mexican solo artist won Best Regional Mexican Album for Génesis and Best Urban Song, sharing the award with Karol for their collaboration «QLONA.»
Neither performer attended the awards ceremony, which prides itself on connecting with the youth and showcasing young talent. This year, the star power was driven mainly by veterans like Wisin and renowned producer Sergio George, who opened the show with their new salsa song «La Vida Es Una Fiesta.»
Just as we had clear winners for the awards, the red carpet was also full of glamour, with Anitta and Emilia Mernes crowned the beauty queens of the night. During this, we saw stunning outfits chosen by our favorite artists; Elena Rose, Domelipa, and others captivated us with their beautiful dresses.
The nominees list consists of 31 categories, aimed at acknowledging the hottest trends amongst the young generation including music, streaming, fashion, and everything that’s buzzing right now. This year, the awards were hosted by Lele Pons, Clarissa Molina, and Wisin.
