5 Songs You Didn’t Know Feid Wrote

Before becoming the hitmaker he is today, the Colombian artist used to compose for other artists

Feid is currently living the musical life of his dreams, but it wasn’t always like this. He actually kicked off his journey composing for other artists. There was this moment when contemporaries from his generation, like Maluma, Karol G, and J Balvin, were catapulting to fame. Meanwhile, he was sitting there, wondering when his own spotlight would shine on him.

If only the younger Feid could have peeked into the future to see how incredibly famous he would become, he’d probably have a hard time believing it. In his music today, Feid skillfully blends urban beats together with the essence of early-2000s reggaetón, all while delivering lyrics centered around themes of love.

But here’s the thing: like many of us, he faced a similar struggle –it was about learning to trust his instincts rather than getting tangled up in the opinions of others. That could be an universal battle, trying to overcome those inner demons full of doubts. Yet, he managed to rise above it, and that’s seriously no small accomplishment. So, today we celebrate his strength by highlighting five songs you probably didn’t know were written by him.

One of Feid’s recent compositions is «Gucci los paños,» which is a part of Karol G’s album Mañana Será Bonito. This track is backed by heavy tuba melodies and slow-tempo guitar riffs. Interestingly, it’s not only Feid’s work; it’s a collaborative effort that also involved Edgar Barrera, Andrés David Restrepo Echavarría, Jorge Alvaro Díaz, and Karol G herself.

«Sigo extrañándote,» featured on Balvin’s album Energía, marked one of Feid’s earliest major achievements as a composer. As mentioned before, one of the main themes of Feid composition is love, and he demonstrates it this song, which is centered around the theme of losing a loved one.

You know I don’t want to lose you
You know this love is so strong
What we had was enviable (Yeah, yeah)
Because tonight I’ll touch you again
When the moon stops watching you
And you give me your whole body

Understand that I keep missing you
Every moment, at every instant
Understand that I keep missing you
Every moment, at every instant…”

As a part of her album Kisses, Anitta teamed up with Prince Royce for the ultra-sensual reggaetón track «Rosa,» which was co-written by Feid. In the song, the two artists playfully exchange ideas about what they’ll do to each other.

Yes, he also wrote for Christina Aguilera, who released a Spanish-language album titled La Tormenta in 2022, celebrating her Latin roots. She had previously done so with her EP ‘La Fuerza’ as well.

This song wasn’t just written by Feid in collaboration with Aguilera, GALE, and others. The track also got its production magic from Feid’s efforts with Rafa Arcaute, Federico Vindver, and Slow.

In Nicky Jam’s 2019 album «Intimo,» Feid was involved in co-writing two tracks: «Perdóname» with Darell and «Come y te vas.»
