Can you picture Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo performing together in one place? It might sound like a dream, but it’s happening at the 2024 Grammy Awards ceremony on February 4th. Trevor Noah, who has hosted the Grammys in recent years and is returning as the host this year, has revealed the first three confirmed performers for the big night.
Although we don’t know which songs they’ll be singing yet, it’s likely that two of the three nominated artists will choose to perform their hits: «Dance the Night» and «What Was I Made For?» Additionally, Olivia Rodrigo will have the exciting task of selecting which single from her second studio album, GUTS, she’ll present. «Vampire» seems to be the frontrunner for some of the night’s major awards.
When we look at the rest of the nominees, it wouldn’t be surprising if other prominent female artists like SZA, Taylor Swift, and Miley Cyrus also join the performance lineup. This could potentially become one of the most star-studded musical events of the year.
Leading Ladies
This year, the Grammy Awards are all about female voices, and they dominate nearly every major category. Interestingly, in the Song of the Year category, there’s only one song by a male artist, «Butterfly» by Jon Batiste. Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, SZA, Olivia Rodrigo, and Billie Eilish are all competing for the prestigious golden gramophone.
