Young Miko stands out as a leading figure among the new wave of Spanish-language music artists. However, have you ever wondered how this friendship started? Well, during her recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the singer behind «Riri» revealed the story. It turns out that Karol G was the one who kicked things off by sending a message. However, she signed it as ‘Carolina,’ her real name, rather than using her stage name. Because of this, Miko initially brushed it off, thinking it wasn’t really her.
But curiosity got the best of Miko. So, she decided to video call her to confirm if it was indeed the famous Karol G. “It was dark in her room, but her voice gave her away,” she recalls. And that’s how their friendship began, blossoming through their shared passion for music. “Seeing these people and thinking, ‘They are superstars, they are brilliant,’ and then, suddenly, they are my friends, and we are creating together… it feels like another life,’” adds the Puerto Rican artist.

As mentioned earlier, apart from performing together on stage, they teamed up for «Dispo,» a song featured in Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season). But there’s more. Baby Miko also appeared in the music video for «Contigo» alongside the Colombian artist, a new rendition of Leona Lewis’s «Bleeding Love» that tells a love story.
Having collaborated on these projects, it’s likely we’ll see them working together again in the future.
