Young Miko has emerged as one of the most promising female artists in today’s Latin American music scene. She gained recognition after her breakthrough on TikTok with her viral hit «Lisa,» and today, we celebrate her 26th birthday! Despite her relatively young age, she has already shared the stage with renowned artists like Bad Bunny at the Choliseo in Puerto Rico and Karol G at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium. She has also collaborated with well-known artists such as Feid, Nicki Nicole, Cazzu, Villano Antillano, and many others.
Back in 2018, she embarked on her musical journey on SoundCloud under the name Young Miko. Her debut track, titled «Quiero,» marked the beginning of her musical career and quickly got thousands of streams. “Nobody knew who I was,” she recalls. “SoundCloud played a big role in letting me test these waters that I had never explored before, and to start seeing people’s reaction (on the platform).” She then made her official debut in the music scene with her first single, «105 Freestyle,» in collab with the producer Caleb Calloway.

With this song featuring Feid, the artist from Puerto Rico made her official debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on July 1st. The track was released on March 30th through Universal Music Latino/UMLE and entered the chart at No. 99, with 5.5 million official streams in the United States, as reported by Luminate.
Miko pays tribute to the 2002 hit song «Aserejé» by the Spanish group Las Ketchup in her own track titled «Wiggy.» Not only does she incorporate a portion of Las Ketchup’s song, but she also recreates a part of their iconic choreography in her music video and live performances.
The dynamic duo of Nicki Nicole and Young Miko released a sensual and uplifting song titled «8 AM» early this year, perfectly in line with Nicky Nicole’s latest album –a journey of introspection. In this track, Nicole presents her most heartfelt work, featuring her trademark hard-hitting rhythms. The cherry on top, of course, is Miko’s innovative trap flow.
What’s even more thrilling than Bad Gyal‘s song «Chulo»? It’s the version featuring Young Miko and Tokischa for «Chulo Pt. 2.» This remix combines reggaeton beats with the talents of both Dominican and Puerto Rican artists, making the result even more exhilarating.
Before its release, this collaboration had become one of the most highly anticipated. «Brinca» was composed by Cazzu and Miko, and through it, they aim to challenge societal gender roles with a song filled with hard-hitting rhythms and catchy lyrics.
The Puerto Rican artist joined forces with one of the world’s most renowned American music producers, Marshmello, who enjoys collaborating with Latin artists, following the success of «El Merengue» with Manuel Turizo. Together, they made a song firmly rooted in the trap genre.
