Marshmello Brings More Details About Upcoming Album, ‘Sugar Papi’

The singer has just released a teaser announcing some powerful collaborations

Marshmello has us completely intrigued with his new musical project. The electronic music artist won the Crossover Artist of the Year award precisely for his vibrant collaborations with Latin artists at the last Billboard Latin Music Awards and wants to continue his success. Now he brings us «Sugar Papi,» a highly anticipated studio work that promises to be as sweet as it is explosive.

In the clip shared by the famous producer, he gives us some very clear hints about what his next release will be like. We see him entering a candy store with his characteristic giant cloud on his head, where we can distinguish a sign that reads «Sugar Papi Marshmello. Phase 1: Collaborators.»

The artist opens various compartments with candies where we can see the names of top artists from the international urban scene (a very original metaphor considering the artist’s nickname), such as Farruko with «Esta Vida,» Tiago PZK with «Como Yo,» and Young Miko with «Tempo.» Additionally, his epic  «El Merengue» with Manuel Turizo also seems to be part of this new project. But that’s not the best part: his upcoming release is scheduled for November 3rd. That means there’s still almost a month to discover what the Philadelphia producer has up his sleeve, but we know it’s something that will shake up the charts from top to bottom.

An Unstoppable Career

Marshmello, (real name: Christopher Comstock), began gaining international recognition in 2015 with the release of his famous online remixes. His first album, Joytime, in 2016, was a significant step forward in making a name for himself in the music scene, debuting as Marshmello in «Keep It Mello!» In 2017, after releasing singles like «Twinbow» or «Moving On,» the producer collaborated with Khalid on «Silence» and later with Selena Gomez on «Wolves.» Subsequently, in 2019, he became one of the highest-paid DJs according to Forbes, and in 2020, his song «Come & Go» with Juice Wrld reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Recently, Marshmello has been exploring different variations within Latin music, bringing us exciting collaborations and rhythms that we are delighted to hear.

So, what other collaborations do you think we can expect on «Sugar Papi»?
