The Annual LISTA LOS40 USA is Here!

Numerous songs that have made it onto the annual LISTA LOS40 USA might not come as a big surprise because they’ve been massive international hits, and we’ve heard them everywhere throughout the year. And just to be clear, this isn’t a complaint. However, these songs have become popular and stayed at the top because they’re exceptionally good, and they’ve definitely got us dancing and singing more than once. So, without wasting any more time, let’s dive into the top 10. 

1. «Ella Baila Sola» – Eslabon Armado, Peso Pluma

This song is not only out top song of the year, but it was the most-streamed Latin song globally and in the United States. This collaboration between Eslabon Armando and Peso Pluma propelled him to international stardom and even landed him a spot on Jimmy Fallon’s show. 

2. «TGQ» –  Karol G, Shakira

The collaboration between two of Colombia’s most influential women in 2023 has also landed them in the second spot on this competitive list. What’s more, their song has taken the third position among the most-streamed tracks globally! 

3. «La Bachata» – Manuel Turizo

With an unmistakable rhythm, Manuel Turizo got more than a few of us dancing to «La Bachata,» and it reminds us that we probably were, at some point, the protagonist of his lyrics, deleting the contact of someone we cared about but still knowing their number by heart. 

4. «Un x100to» – Grupo Frontera, Bad Bunny

Regional Mexican music has been taking the most important charts, and the lyrics of this song are quite relatable for many, as they sing about using the last 1% of their phone battery to call their ex, reflecting the profound sense of regret and unhappiness that follows the loss of a loved one.

5. «La Bebe (Remix)» – Yng Lvcas, Peso Pluma 

Another one of the most successful collaborations and songs of 2023 is this one, and it’s one of the Mexican artist La Doble P’s first big hits. Moreover, the line “quiere que le ponga música pa’ que baile hasta abajo la bebé” has become nothing short of iconic. 

6. «VAGABUNDO» – Sebastián Yatra, Manuel Turizo, Beéle

The music video starts with a group of friends arriving very happy to rent a yacht for a party, with very catchy bachata rhythms that invite you to dance to this summer hit. Yatra, Turizo and Beéle sing with a certain nostalgia to a woman they miss. However, a mysterious event occurs that will make the friends see the good vibe interrupted, running out of boat and end up giving a statement to the police.

7. «LALA» – Myke Towers

This song, without a doubt, was one of the top songs of the summer. However, the meaning of this word is not as innocent as it may seem. 

8. «Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53» – Bizarrap, Shakira

The #53 BZRP Session featuring Colombian legend Shakira is probably one of the best breakup songs of all time. The artist really left everything out after all the controversy surrounding her divorcing Spanish former soccer player Gerard Piqué. She teamed up with the Argentine star, transforming pain and anger into an iconic girl power anthem. “Las mujeres ya no lloran, ¡Las mujeres facturan!”

9. «Beso» – Rosalía, Rauw Alejandro

The song surprised the world in March 2023 with its beautiful lyrics, energy, and catchy chorus. Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro revealed that «Beso» is about the beginning of their relationship. Sadly, they ended their engagement a few months later. This song was the first single from RR, their three-song EP collaboration. 

10. «Classy 101» – Feid, Young Miko

One of the urban artists who had a significant impact in 2023 is Young Miko. She managed to capture the attention of Feid and several other major players in the Latin music scene. 

In the next rankings, we’ve got Marshmello and Manuel Turizo at number 11 with their song «El Merengue.» Right after that, at number 12, there’s Shakira collaborating with another group that made a big impact this year, Fuerza Régida, and their track «El Jefe.» In the following spot, you’ll come across Bad Bunny with «WHERE SHE GOES,» and right after that, Carin Leon with his hit song «Primera Cita.»

At number 15, it’s Karol G with her track «MI EX TENÍA RAZÓN.» Then, there’s TINI with «Cupido.» In the 17th position, we’ve got one of Argentina’s most successful producers of 2023, Bizarrap, teaming up with Rauw Alejandro for «BABY HELLO.»

Next up, we’ve got Grupo Frontera collaborating with Manuel Turizo for «DE LUNES A LUNES» at number 18. At number 19, you’ll find María Becerra with «Corazón vacío.» And finally, in the 20th position, there’s Maluma and Carin Leon with «Según Quién.»
