Rauw Alejandro Confirms Breakup with Rosalía & Denies Infidelity Rumors

People magazine made public this week that the couple have ended their engagement

The world stopped when People magazine announced last July 25 that the iconic couple ended their engagement and three-year relationship. Rauw Alejandro and Rosalía’s romance began in 2020, but they made it official only in late 2021, but they kept being the couple of the year during 2023 after dropping the joint EP «RR.» This highly-anticipated launch integrated the chart-topping song ‘BESO’ in which they officially revealed they were getting married.

Now, Rauw himself has confirmed their split through his social media. He even took the opportunity to deny infidelity rumors. 

«Yes, a few months ago Rosi and I ended our engagement. There’s a lot of problems that can cause a breakup, but in ours it was never the fault of a third person or infidelity. Rauwsalía was just waiting for her tour to end before diving into wedding preparations, already having an idea of the dress she intended to wear. However, now their love will be forever inked on their skin, as they have both tattooed each other’s names (Rauw with ‘Rosalía’) or initials (Rosalía with ‘RR’) –unless they decide to remove them.

The sudden news took many by surprise, particularly given their deep connection and love just a few months ago. However, their followers began to speculate on social media about a possible distance between them, as they noticed a lack of appearances together in the various posts they shared on their social networks.

Just a week ago, on July 16, the ‘Tuya’ singer posted a picture of her showing her tears, with the caption ‘días d todo’, meaning that there’s days for every emotion. Of course, it didn’t take long for users to speculate with all sorts of theories about it, from being ‘sad’ because of her tour ending, to just having a bad day. Now people are speculating if this picture had something to do with their breakup.
