Miley Cyrus Reveals Grueling 12-Hour Plus Schedule While Working in ‘Hannah Montana’

Miley Cyrus is opening up to her fans about «Used To Be Young,» her latest single that was released just a few days ago. In the song, the artist addresses a significant theme – growing older and leaving behind the much-desired and beloved youth when we’re all a bit wild.

With an intimate tone, this ballad details how she feels she has evolved over the years, while others might only see a superficial change and emphasize missing the wild Miley from the era of «Wrecking Ball» – which marks its exact 10-year anniversary this 2023 – or even the energetic girl who portrayed Hannah Montana for Disney, two facets of herself with which she seems to be reconciled, even though this song makes it clear that they are now part of her past.

In «Used To Be Young,» Cyrus sings «Me and who you say I was yesterday have gone our separate ways […] Left my livin’ fast somewhere in the past and took another road,» lines that make it evident that this song is a true declaration of intent and aligns with what she set out at the beginning of 2023 when she stated that this year, as she enters her 30s, will mark the start of a new era.

The latest video is dedicated to her work as Hannah Montana, where she can be seen revisiting the commitments she had in her schedule at just 12 or 13 years old. She’s even surprised herself by the amount of work she juggled at such a young age. «5:30 in the morning!» she exclaimed upon realizing she had to be in her hotel, getting ready for a promotional day, by that time.

«At 7 in the morning, we get picked up; at 7:15, I’m on the news; at 7:45, I have a live interview; at 8:15, another interview; at 8:45, another interview; and from 9:30 to 11:00 AM, a meeting with the editors. Back to the hotel… Okay, then I have another interview, but all the reporters are students. From 1:00 to 2:30, my dad and I have a lunchtime interview. At 2:40, we have a photo shoot for Life magazine. From 3:00 to 5:00, more interviews and another photo session for the Father’s Day issue. We arrive at 6:00 for an online interview, at 6:15, another interview… And then the next day starts at 7:00 AM and ends at 7:30 PM when I fly back home, probably to do more Hannah. And that’s Saturday, and on Monday, back to work in the morning,» Miley continues explaining. She genuinely seems amazed by how much work she was able to handle as a young girl.
