Searching the catalog of some music icons has become fashionable among the fans in the industry. And in fact, it’s thanks to them that leaks or unreleased artists’ repertoire of which there is no confirmation are discovered. And that’s exactly what happened in the last week with several Shakira songs.
The Colombian super star has just released ‘Acróstico’, a song dedicated to her children, in the middle of an emotional storm due to her personal situation.
Thanks to this and the previous hits she released, we know that her new studio album could be very close because she has already released several hits in the last year and a half. And it could bring very potent collabs with some of the hip hop international figures Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.
Some leaks pointed to Deseo Inherente as the name for the album that compiles many of these songs that have been much talked about this weekend. Because throughout the weekend, several fan sites were talking about ‘Tu pérdida’, a song that Nicki Minaj and Shakira would share on this LP.
A few days later, the same musical ID attributed to the repertoire of BMI (Broadcast Music Ind, one of the three largest organizations of broadcasting rights in the United States) had become ‘Estoy lamida’, an reported collaboration between Shakira and Cardi B.
Of course, neither their record labels, nor the artists themselves, nor their teams, nor anyone in their entourage has confirmed or denied all these rumors.
Shakira’s extensive professional career, which includes collaborations with huge female artists such as Beyoncé, Rihanna or Karol G, has shown us that anything is possible in the hands of one of the most important Latin artists in the history of music.
By the time, we’re still expecting news of the long-awaited successor to El Dorado, which still has no release date or confirmed title. And all this despite the fact that the singles already released could have already formed an album: ‘Me gusta’, ‘Don’t Wait Up’, ‘Don’t You Worry’, ‘BZRP Music Sessions #53’, ‘Te Felicito’, ‘Monotonía’, ‘Acróstico’ and ‘Copa Vacía’ (which has not yet been released).
