The Possible Price of Taylor Swift’s Engagement Ring: From $250K to $5M

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may have just dropped the biggest wedding news of the year—if not the decade. On August 26, the singer and the NFL star announced on Instagram that they’re officially engaged.

The photos instantly went viral, showing the couple against a fairy-tale backdrop filled with flowers and romantic vibes. Taylor, of course, proudly showed off her engagement ring. And naturally, everyone is asking the same question: what’s it worth?

After Georgina Rodríguez set the bar high with her massive diamond, Taylor’s ring isn’t far behind (though hers is slightly smaller and more understated). Experts estimate its value to be somewhere between $250,000 and $500,000.

Jewelry expert Ann Grimmett told People magazine: “The ring’s center diamond appears to be a «5 to 6 carat elongated cushion cut, set in 18k yellow gold. The main diamond is flanked by ‘half-moon plus … small round’ side jewels, which give it ‘vintage’ feel,” she said.

Experts Opinions

However, not everyone agrees on the ring’s value. Neil Dutta, another jewelry expert, has a different take on the piece—designed by Travis himself for Taylor, estimates the ring’s value to be between $1.3 and $1.5 million. “This antique-inspired style is very on trend right now, and the choice of yellow gold gives the ring a warm, romantic feel that suits her perfectly.»

The highest estimate comes from George Khalife, better known as George the Jeweler. He believes the diamond could be 20 carats, putting its price somewhere between $3.5 and $5 million.

“The ring seems to come with some serious history! Old mine diamonds are rare and hard to come by. It means the diamond is naturally occurring, and hand-cut, using techniques that we rarely see anymore! The whole look feels really antique, which I think suits Taylor perfectly,” he explained.

For now, we’ll have to wait for more details about Taylor and Travis’s wedding. But one thing is certain—it’s already shaping up to be one of the biggest events of the year.
