One of the entertainment world’s most iconic couples, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez, are officially engaged after eight years together and four children. Ronaldo, 40, and Rodríguez, 31, made their first public appearance as a couple at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich in January 2017, before going Instagram official that May.
Rodríguez shared the news on Instagram with a photo of her massive oval-shaped engagement ring, captioned: “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.” — a translation of her Spanish words: “Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas.”
According to Yahoo Entertainment, Kegan Fisher, co-founder of fine jewelry brand Frank Darling, which specializes in engagement rings, estimates that Georgina’s ring is “definitely over 15 carats, and more likely in the 20–25 carat range,” though she notes it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact size of the center stone without knowing Rodríguez’s finger size.
As for the design, Fisher describes it as “a platinum, oval, three-stone setting with petite double-claw prongs — giving it a refined, elevated look while keeping all eyes on that massive center stone.”
She estimates the side stones are about one carat each. “Triple-oval settings are quite rare. Three round stones or three emerald cuts are far more common. But this design works beautifully with a center stone of that scale, giving the entire piece a vintage-inspired elegance,” she adds.
Georgina’s Engagement Ring Price
The price of Georgina Rodríguez’s ring depends on several factors. While the couple hasn’t confirmed who designed the massive piece, Brides estimates its value at around $1.2 million. However, experts speaking to Page Six Style suggest the price could be anywhere between $2 million and $5 million.
Ajay Anand, CEO of Rare Carat, told Page Six he believes the center stone is a D-color, flawless clarity diamond, potentially weighing over 30 carats — a combination that could push its value to as much as $5 million.
