Shakira is currently on her global tour, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, which has been a huge success at every stop. However, the tour hasn’t been without a few bumps along the way. The Colombian star has had to cancel several concerts—some due to health concerns, and others because of infrastructure issues. One of those affected shows was her scheduled performance in Medellín on February 24.

In this case, the cancellation was due to structural problems with the stage setup at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium. The damage compromised the safety of Shakira, her team, and the audience, leading her to make the difficult but necessary decision to cancel. After the recent tragedy in the Dominican Republic, it’s become clear how important it is to take precautions when needed.

The good news? The concert wasn’t canceled entirely—it was rescheduled, and now Shakira will return to her home country with not just one, but two new shows, set for April 12 and 13. Both nights promise to be a true celebration. There’s nothing quite like performing at home, especially when you’re an artist so admired and respected by your people.

Special Guest: Karol G

Ever since the new dates were announced, there have been rumors that Karol G might join Shakira on stage—and now, we can confirm it. A source close to the singer has told us that yes, Karol G will be one of the special guests. It’s yet another sign of the growing strength of female solidarity in music.

Although the Medellín concert was postponed, Shakira continued with the rest of her tour. While performing in other cities, she made a touching reference to ‘La Bichota’, speaking about getting back up and coming back stronger. Karol later responded, clearly moved, and celebrated the moment—highlighting how emotional it must be for fans in Medellín to see two of their biggest icons sharing the stage.

Second Guest: Maluma

And she won’t be the only one. It’s now confirmed that Maluma will also take the stage. The Colombian superstar is currently wrapping up a series of sold-out shows in Madrid, where his third concert is taking place tonight—each one filled with surprises and powerful moments that have only cemented his status as a global icon.

Now back in Colombia, Maluma has made space in his tight schedule to share the stage with Shakira, his fellow countrywoman. Everything points to these concerts being a true celebration—and a meaningful gift for a city that hasn’t seen her perform live in nearly 29 years. It’s also likely that Shakira’s children will be there, as she’s mentioned several times how much she wants them to discover and connect with the city.

We’ll be keeping an eye on what’s sure to be an unforgettable show, bringing together three of Colombia’s most influential artists today. Local media are already buzzing with excitement.
