Shakira (48) announced on Sunday, February 17, that she was forced to cancel her concert in Lima, Peru, which was part of the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, after being urgently hospitalized.
The iconic Colombian singer shared the details through her social media accounts.
«I regret to inform you that last night I had to go to the emergency room due to an abdominal condition and I am currently hospitalized,» she stated in her Instagram Stories. «The doctors treating me have informed me that I am not in a condition to perform a concert tonight. I am very sad that I won’t be able to take the stage (…) My plan is to hold this show as soon as possible, and my team and the promoter are already working on a new date to announce,» the singer revealed.

In recent hours, more information may have leaked regarding the medical reasons that have kept Shakira off the stage. However, Peru’s Ministry of Justice has demanded confidentiality on the matter.
