Karol G and Shakira are two Colombian singers who have made a significant impact on Latin America with their music. They collaborated on the song ‘TQG,’ one of their biggest joint efforts. However, they haven’t been seen together much. They appeared together at the 2023 VMAs when they won for that collaboration.
They also both attended the Latin Grammys that year, but didn’t appear together. Interestingly, they haven’t performed ‘TQG’ live yet. Despite both having busy schedules, rumors of a rivalry between them have made headlines, likely fueled by their limited public appearances together in previous years.
Now it seems like everything is changing. Recently, during her concert in Bogotá (the capital of their shared country), Shakira surprised everyone by addressing la ‘Bichota’. “If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that a setback isn’t the end; it’s the start of an even higher flight. Each time we fall, we rise a bit wiser, stronger, more… as my friend Karol likes to say, Triple M,” Shakira announced.

This gesture cleared up any rumors of animosity, and to underline this, Karol posted a heartfelt message on her Instagram stories dedicated to Shakira.
“Yesterday marked Shakira’s final concert in Colombia, and I couldn’t help but feel proud and emotional from afar, knowing what it must have meant for her to perform at home. I’m sure those in attendance felt it too,” Bichota wrote. “Her songs and her journey have represented our country and the Latin music scene globally for decades. It’s truly inspiring to see her shining brighter than ever today, or rather, shining as brilliantly as she always has!! Sending warm wishes from afar. Enjoy every moment, and may the successes continue.”
