BLACKPINK, Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo, are finally getting ready to end their musical silence after more than two years. The group hasn’t released new music since September 2022, when they dropped their hit single ‘Shut Down’ from the BORN PINK album. But now, everything points to one of the most highly anticipated comebacks in K-pop happening very soon.

And this isn’t just fan speculation—Yang Hyunsuk, founder of YG Entertainment, confirmed the news during a press conference. “2025 will be BLACKPINK’s year,” he said. “They’ll be releasing new music and launching a major world tour.”

While the title and details of the new single are still under wraps, the timing suggests it will be released around July 5–6, right as the group kicks off their tour at the Goyang Stadium in South Korea. This will mark their first official comeback since wrapping up their record-breaking BORN PINK World Tour, which spanned 34 cities and over 60 shows worldwide.

When is BLACKPINK’s New Song Coming Out?

There’s no official release date yet, but all signs point to summer 2025, likely in early July to match the start of their new tour. Yang also hinted that more announcements are just around the corner. That’s already sending fans into a frenzy online, with plenty of theories about possible collaborations, hidden teasers, and the visual concept of this new BLACKPINK era.

And for anyone wondering—yes, all four members recently renewed their group contracts with YG Entertainment, confirming that BLACKPINK is here to stay. So BLINKs, get your lightsticks ready—because the girls are coming back in full force.
