There is no doubt that Rels B has been one of the most notable artists who have contributed to revolutionizing the development of Spanish-speaking urban genres from top to bottom.

Established as one of the most relevant figures in trap and hip-hop in Spain, Daniel Heredia Vidal (real name) continues to grow, also standing out in the realm of Latin music. And now he has just released his latest album, a new star (1 9 9 3).

A week ago, the rapper also known as Skinny Flakk, stirred up social media by announcing the imminent release of his new studio work, which happens to be his most experimental project to date and a portrait of the artist’s great versatility and extensive career after a decade in music. Anticipation increased when he decided to give fans a sneak peek of the release from his balcony in Mexico City, a truly epic moment for a preview, right?

In a new star (1993) we find a variety of styles that evidence Heredia’s maturity and brilliance as a lyricist, also highlighting the merit of the production by Omar Alcaide and Andrés Yuma. We can enjoy everything from funk to hip hop, through deep house and reggae.

This carefully crafted studio work, from start to finish, also brings collaborations that round out its groundbreaking touch, such as «La Vida Sin Ti» alongside the Spanish emerging artist Lia Kali or «Un Desperdicio» alongside one of the most prominent voices in corridos tumbados, Junior H. Rels B’s Shows in the U.S.

Rels B fans in the United States are in luck, as after performing at the Vibra Urbana festival last February in Miami, the rapper has two dates in different parts of the country. On one hand, Heredia will perform at the Brooklyn Paramont in Brooklyn, NY on May 23, and a few days later at the Sueños Festival, in Grant Park, Chicago, IL. Tickets can be purchased on the Ticketmaster website.
