Although they never officially confirmed it, Sebastián Yatra and Aitana were reportedly in a relationship for about a year. They were practically inseparable, often seen together, especially when they didn’t have work commitments. They traveled together frequently and always had each other’s backs.

However, since announcing their breakup in November 2023, Sebastián Yatra has been keeping a low profile in the media, giving only a few interviews and focusing on his concerts. But that’s changed now. On February 20th, the «Vagabundo» singer appeared on Vicky Martín Berrocal’s interview podcast, ‘A solas con…‘ The designer got him to open up about his personal life.

To everyone’s surprise, Sebastián Yatra didn’t hesitate to talk about his relationship with Aitana. But that’s not all; he also mentioned TINI, the Argentine singer he was previously involved with. The Colombian singer admitted that he has only been in love twice in his life, and it was with these two women.

Both of these relationships have been characterized by mutual love, where I feel good and it has been beautiful.”

The Reason Behind Sebastián’s Breakups

It was then that Yatra continued to explain why he can’t sustain relationships longer than a year. The artist doesn’t believe in monogamous relationships because he thinks he would end up being ‘unfaithful.’ Yatra confesses that his longest relationship has lasted for a year, and if it were to last longer, he might end up cheating on his partner, no matter how ‘in love’ he may be.

My longest relationship has been a year. But the thing is, I feel like if I have a longer relationship, I don’t know how I could handle it because I’d feel like being unfaithful, even if I’m in love with someone.”

With these statements, Yatra has acknowledged that if he starts a new emotional journey with someone, this relationship would be open. “With the kind of life I lead, I have a more open way of thinking and I don’t see it as so crazy to have, at some point in my life, a relationship that’s more open than what we’re used to,” the artist assured. He admitted that a monogamous relationship limits him a lot. “You go out less to avoid liking someone,” he said.
