Rosalía is gearing up for what will be her fourth studio album. Following the release and global success of MOTOMAMI, the anticipation for new music continues to grow. This past Halloween, the star teased the arrival of this project by appearing on social media with a CD titled R4 piercing through her head. It’s no surprise that the Catalan producer has been locked in the studio, dedicating significant time to crafting a new album that promises to defy conventions and, so far, is packed with collaborations.

It’s clear that Rosalía is one of the most acclaimed artists in the music industry. Recently, Ariana Grande expressed her desire to collaborate with her. In fact, her latest releases have showcased a wide range of collaborators. From K-Pop to Indie, Rosalía has explored a diverse palette of sounds in recent months, diverging from her previous projects. NEW WOMAN, her collaboration with BLACKPINK’s LISA, marked a triumphant return, blending retro styles with a stunning music video as an artistic centerpiece. The visual and stylistic synergy between the two artists perfectly merges Eastern and Western influences, earning a spot on the LOS40 Official Chart, where it continues climbing.

Another standout project has been Omega, a collaboration with Spanish emerging artist Ralphie Choo, who also performs on the track. This minimalist and emotionally rich acoustic ballad explores the theme of a deep, lasting love—a love that brings out the best in you and feels like home. Officially, this marks the first step toward Rosalía’s next project; R4 is drawing ever closer.

Rosalía has also been seen collaborating with the Spanish band Carolina Durante on the single Normal and contributed to the composition of I Had A Heart for Australian singer Sia. The latest buzz around her next joint release? Rosalía has reportedly been spotted in the studio working with the legendary Kate Bush. Following her work with Björk, it’s not far-fetched to imagine the Running Up That Hill singer teaming up with the Catalan artist on new music. According to a fan account that broke the news, this could be a new single that will feature on Rosalía’s upcoming project.

Who is Kate Bush?

Kate Bush rose to fame in the 1980s, with Running Up That Hill becoming her most iconic track, still a smash hit today with over one billion streams on digital platforms. The song reached number one in several countries, including the UK, Norway, and Australia. At just 19 years old, Bush made history as the first woman to sell a million records, debuting her music career with The Kick Inside in 1978, which included her first hit, Wuthering Heights.

After a career filled with success, Bush stepped away from the music scene in 1994. She returned in 2005 with the album Aerial and continued to release music, with her last album, 50 Words for Snow, coming out in 2011. Her legacy experienced a resurgence in 2022 when her iconic song was featured in the Stranger Things soundtrack, earning her a new wave of streams and cementing her place as a vital figure in contemporary pop culture.
