LOS40 Music Awards Santander 2023 have now concluded, announcing the winners after an evening filled with emotions and exciting surprises. We now know the artists who have earned the honors in the 18th edition of the prestigious event, which are recognized as one of the most important in Spanish-speaking music industry. In this year’s ceremony, two prominent figures in Latin music emerged as the big winners: Colombian musicians Feid and Manuel Turizo, each taking home an impressive three awards.
Big Winners
Feid claimed the titles of Best Urban Artist, Best Urban Song for «Classy 101,» and Best Urban Collaboration alongside Ozuna for «Hey Mor.» These awards all fall within the Global Latin category. Meanwhile, Manuel Turizo secured the Best Album award for 2000, the Best Latin Song award for «El Merengue,» and the Best Festival, Tour, or Concert award for ‘2000 Tour,’ all also within the Global Latin category. Next up is Aitana. The Catalan artist, who was also one of the favorites of the night, has taken home two more awards: Best Music Video award for «Las Babys» and the Best Album award for her work Alpha, both in the Spain category.
The rest of the awards have been spread out more evenly among different artists. Ana Mena has been recognized as the Artist of the Year in the Spain category, Loreen has been chosen as the Best Artist in the International category, and when it came to naming the Best Artist in the Global Latin category, Camilo was the one whose name was called.
Spain Category
Additionally, in the Spain category, we had several winners. Vicco was recognized as the Breakthrough Artist. Álvaro de Luna won the Best Song award for «Todo Contigo.» David Bisbal was honored as the Best Live Artist or Group. Chanel and Abraham Mateo received the award for Best Collaboration for their song «Clavaíto.» Quevedo was named the Best Urban Artist. Depol was celebrated as the Artist from 40 to 1. Lola Índigo earned recognition for her impressive tour «El Dragón Tour» in the Best Festival, Tour, or Concert category. Saiko was acknowledged as the Urban Breakthrough Artist.
International Category
Besides Loreen, we had other noteworthy winners: Tom Odell, who took home the Best Live Artist award, Taylor Swift for her album Midnights, and Dua Lipa for her song «Dance the Night.»
In the Global Latin Category, the night ended with a big win for Feid, Manuel Turizo, and Camilo, with Young Miko being named the Breakthrough Artist. María Becerra received the Best Music Video award for «Corazón Vacío.» Duki was recognized as the Best Live Artist. Emilia and Ludmilla were honored for their collaboration on the song «No_se_ve.mp3,» and Ozuna shared the Best Collaboration award with Feid. To wrap it up, the Golden Music Awards 2023 were given to Shakira, Take That, and Ozuna.
