Dua Lipa Reveals Upcoming Single: ‘Training Season’

The British artist has revealed the date and time of her upcoming music

Dua Lipa, after contributing her voice to the already famous Barbie movie soundtrack and making appearances at various prestigious award shows like the Critics Choice Awards and the Golden Globes, and following her announcements of upcoming performances at the Grammy Awards and the 2024 Brit Awards, is proving that she’s at the top of her game.

The «Houdini» singer, on January 24th, gave a sneak peek of a yet-to-be-named song in a brief 10-second video on her WhatsApp profile. However, today has shared the title of her next single: «Training Season.» Which is set to be released on February 15th, making it the second song from her third studio album, following Future Nostalgia. You’ll be able to listen to the song on all major online platforms starting on February 15th.

Through her Instagram stories, the artist has given a glimpse of how «Training Season» sounds, and it promises to be one of those tunes that get stuck in your head. 

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Dua Lipa didn’t miss the chance to share some insights about her upcoming album. She confirmed that the new album will feature eleven songs. Her inspiration for this album comes from legendary bands of the ’80s like Primal Scream and Massive Attack. She also emphasized that this album will pay homage to the UK rave culture while embracing the melodies and sounds of psychedelic pop. 

Just a few days ago, she shared several images with the caption Grammy ‘rehearsals and other fun thingsssss.’ In these photos, she revealed that she has two songs ready for her performance: one of them is «Houdini,» as indicated in the reflection in the upper left corner of a mirror (‘Track 2 Houdini’), but the other song (‘Track 1 —–‘) remains a mystery, creating even more anticipation. 

If the singer were to perform one of her well-known songs like «Don’t Start Now» or «Dance The Night Away,» there would be no secrecy surrounding it. This leads us to believe that she might unveil this new song, «Training Season,» to the entire industry.
