Coldplay returned to Saturday Night Live for the eighth time on October 5 to showcase some tracks from their newly released album Moon Music. Kicking things off with a live performance of ‘All My Love,’ the British band followed up with a mesmerizing rendition of ‘We Pray,’ their collaboration with TINI and Elyanna.

‘We Pray’ is a significant milestone for Latin music, as part of the song is sung in Spanish by Argentine pop star Martina Stoessel, also known as TINI. «Let’s face it, if we got lost, maybe it was to find each other, and we fall to learn how to rise, to embrace, because living means realizing that everything happens for a reason,» TINI begins singing.

The band’s lead vocalist, Chris Martin, first came across TINI by watching the top music charts in Argentina, where she was always featured. He later became interested in her song ‘Carne y Hueso,»‘which he invited her to sing at one of their concerts in Argentina. The Buenos Aires-born artist has also opened for Coldplay during their shows in her home country.

The Argentine artist didn’t hesitate to dedicate these words to her fellow artists after the show: «What an overwhelming emotion, how beautiful what we experienced last night on @nbcsnl. Thank you @coldplay, every moment I live by your side is a dream come true, thank you from the bottom of my heart, I admire you so much, ever since I was little. I never imagined in my life that I would experience something like this🥹 @elyanna sharing the stage with you and being with you offstage is always beautiful, you’re amazing🤍🙏🏻»

Without a doubt, ‘We Pray’ is quickly becoming a spiritual hit. The original version, featuring Lil Simz, Burna Boy, and Elyanna, along with TINI’s contribution, continues to enjoy success.
