Last Saturday Night Live show left big moments for Spanish-speaking viewers in the US. The new episode was presented by Cuban-Spanish Ana de Armas -the only Latina actress nominated for a 2023 Oscar for her performance in ‘Marilyn Monroe’-, who introduced Karol G as the musical guest.
The Colombian star presented her last album and also participated in a cameo in one of the SNL sketches of a Spanish class, where ‘la Bichota’ also helped US students to dance reggaeton, making lots of her fans feel represented in the prime time show.
With no doubt, both Latin female artists gave us great highlights in a night that made history in the set.

Karol G brought the good vibe to the set performing new singles ‘Mientras me curo del cora’ and ‘Tus Gafitas’, both part of her latest album ‘Mañana será bonito’, that have just became the first all-Spanish language album by a female artist to make a chart-topping debut in Billboard 200 chart.

The Colombian star took the opportunity to send a visual message against the use of Photoshop after the polemic GQ Mexico’s photoshoot, when she spoke out about the use of unrealistic images of her. As a response, she wore an eye-catching top displaying a red and white ‘No Photoshop’ logo.

“Today my cover in GQ was made public, a cover with an image that does not represent me. My face doesn’t look like that, my body doesn’t look like that and I feel very happy and comfortable with how I look naturally”, she wrote on her Instagram account after the cover was published.
