On October 4th, we received exciting news that Bad Bunny would be both the musical guest and host on the renowned Saturday Night Live, scheduled for October 21st. This return was highly anticipated, not only by Bad Bunny but also by the show itself, which had been absent from television screens due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. The Puertorican made a remarkable debut on SNL, demonstrating his versatility as an artist. He acted, sang, put on various costumes, including a nun and Shrek, and even took part in a comedic soap opera.

From the moment he stepped in front of the cameras, there was no looking back. The show started with a humorous monologue in which Bunny was joined by Pedro Pascal, known for his roles in The Mandalorian and The Last of Us. Pascal played the role of Bunny’s ‘translator.’ And, of course, Pascal did a great job, not exactly as a translator, but certainly as a comedian.
The two artists also starred in the funny sketch ‘Protective Mom.’
During the show, Bunny naturally treated the audience to two songs from his latest album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana (Nobody Knows What Will Happen Tomorrow). His first performance, «Un Preview,» was introduced by none other than Lady Gaga, who surprised everyone by speaking in Spanish: “New York, Puerto Rico, and everyone else: Bad Bunny!”
He made a memorable entrance alongside a coin-operated mechanical horse, like the one featured in his music video, all against a white backdrop. For his second musical act, Bad Bunny performed «Mónaco,» introduced by Pascal, with masked men accompanying him on stage.
Among the other hilarious sketches that had millions of viewers in stitches was ‘Telenovela’ (with a distinctly Latin flavor), which featured a special guest appearance: Mick Jagger, the iconic lead vocalist of the Rolling Stones. In this sketch, Jagger played the role of Bunny’s wicked father, delivering numerous comedic slaps. Jagger also made a cameo in the sketch ‘Convent Meeting,’ a parody of Sister Act 3.
Throughout the evening, Bunny demonstrated his remarkable acting and comedic talents in a variety of sketches, including ‘Rap Battle,’ ‘Enrique’s Daughter,’ ‘Please Don’t Destroy – Bad Bunny Is Shrek,’ ‘Subway Platform,’ and ‘La Era del Descubrimiento’ (The Era of Discovery).»
