Christian Nodal and Ángela Aguilar have been in the spotlight since announcing they are officially a couple. This follows shortly after he parted ways with Argentine trap artist Cazzu. As Ángela mentioned, they have known each other for quite some time, specifically since 2018 when she was 14 and he was 18. Their age difference has been one reason why their romance didn’t begin earlier.

In November 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Nodal and Aguilar released their first and only collaboration so far, called «Dime Como Quieres» (Tell Me How You Want). Ángela, who was 17 at the time, made history by becoming the youngest female singer to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart in January 2021 with this song.

The song tells a love story where Nodal is deeply in love with Ángela, who rejects him because she doesn’t fall for his attempts to win her over. Now, years after the song was released, their love story has finally come true. “Now I find myself experiencing something wonderful with a woman I love, a love that took many years to happen, and we’re enjoying it, living through this experience,” Nodal said about his current relationship with the singer.
