April Fools’ Day: Karol G’s Prank Ends Up in a Fight with a Celebrity

It’s April 1st already, and you know what that means: April Fool’s Day! A big moment to pull all the pranks without anyone being able to say a word. Some funny situations that our divas, of course, are not exempt from.

And one of them is undoubtedly Karol G. Although it’s not one of the most well-known anecdotes of the Colombian singer, it’s certainly one of the funniest. More than a decade ago, our beloved Carolina was invited to the Venezuelan channel Match 4. Yes, that’s right, when at her last concert in Venezuela the artist said she had done many things there, she wasn’t wrong!

Karol was on the show thinking she would participate in some kind of contest. What she didn’t know was that she was part of a prank that would end up infuriating her. An ingenious trap by the program «¡Qué Locura!«.

The problem starts when they inform Karol G, an emerging artist at that time, that they don’t want to film with her. Apparently, one of the colleagues present there, at that moment Yvette Dominguez, a Venezuelan actress, seemed to be unhappy with Karol’s presence, so they end up arguing heatedly.

«You offended me, you offended me, you offended me. So please, bring an actress of her caliber, who is known here in Venezuela,» angrily said the Colombian artist. Everything seems to reach a terrible limit when Karol G explodes in anger, throwing a glass of water in Yvette’s face shouting «rude!». «Stupid,» Dominguez replied.

The interpreter of «Mañana Será Bonito» wants to leave the set until the host of the show grabs Karol and tells her it’s all a joke. Then the artist from Medellín bursts into laughter and goes to hug Yvette.
