We’re all eagerly waiting for Shakira to hit the road again, and it seems that the moment is getting closer. It will be in 2024 when we see the artist from Barranquilla immersed in a new tour. In an interview with Billboard, the artist reveals new secrets about her future. It seems that the singer has been inspired by Beyoncé’s recent tour. «I can’t go on tour with as many trucks as Beyoncé, but I was taking notes,» the Colombian commented.

One of the artists who excels in taking her music to every corner of the planet is ready to embark on a new journey. And she won’t stop bringing her recent hits, such as the «Bzrp Music Sessions Vol. 53,» to all her followers. One thing we can be sure of is that Shakira’s return to the stage will be a highly anticipated event. Furthermore, she confesses to being very excited: «I think it will be the tour of my life.»

If there’s one thing the artist has, it’s a great repertoire to create a concert filled with hits: «The most important thing for me is the music, the repertoire. That’s why I believe this will be the tour of my life because I have so many songs that it will be hard for me to leave the stage,» she declares about her upcoming tour.

‘El Jefe,’ The Most Surprising Song in Shakira’s Career

She has just shared her new song, «El Jefe,» with the world, a song that addresses social classes. One could even say it’s a kind of anthem for all those ‘working folks’ who, despite deserving greater rewards for their efforts, see the ‘bosses’ living the good life. Now, she is determined to go on a tour that everyone can attend without having to stay at home due to economic reasons. This is something to be appreciated considering the prices of current worldwide tours.

«Assembling a tour is fun, but it’s also a significant effort, several months of preparation, also balancing all the variables and deciding what the audience really wants to see, what songs they want to sing, which ones you also want to sing live, and how much production you want to bring,» she says in the interview. «In the end, the more production you have, the higher the ticket price, and I always like to consider the purchasing power of my fans,» she confesses at the Versace mansion, where the interview takes place.

The Colombian has had a career for many years, and that has taught her about the cost of production for a tour, high enough not to repeat that mistake.

«Many of my tours were without dancers and with limited production. But in the ‘Mongoose Tour,’ which was one of my most successful tours, with the largest production, I had a snake that would rise at the beginning of the show. The snake cost me a million dollars, and transporting it cost several million more. When the tour ended, which had been one of the most successful tours of my career at the time, my manager tells me that I have to pay him his commission, and I say, ‘Okay, how much did I earn on the tour?’ He says, ‘No. You lost six million. Didn’t you want to travel with the snake?’ You learn from everything,» she concludes, reflecting on her experience with the song «Acróstico.»

We will still have to wait for this tour to come to light, and we also need to be patient until her new studio album is released. After a challenging year for Shakira personally, there is light at the end of the tunnel, and we will soon be able to enjoy the singer on stage.
