Barbenheimer is not the only thing that is happening, but a lot of awesome music releases! This is probably one of the busiest weeks we have had in the last months, so, be prepared for today’s latest and hottest drops.  

Travis Scott, Bad Bunny & The Weekend — KPOP

Given the significance of K-pop genre has in the current music landscape, the song’s title generated considerable buzz and expectations about what this collaboration would bring. Given that each individual artist possesses a unique musical style, the outcome of their collab was a bit uncertain yet highly anticipated. 

No, the song is not a ‘K-pop’ song, but it does reflect the style of these three influential artists in one song. We can perfectly hear Travis rap, Bad Bunny’s iconic ‘yeah, yeah’ with a Latin touch, and The Weeknd’s sensual voice.

Zayn — Love Like this 

With just 12 hours since the video release, it accumulated more than 1.2 million views on YouTube and became a music tendency.

Riding a bike and looking super sexy in his music video, Zayn reminds us with this single of his first solo work. The video, along with the lyrics, tells us the story about a new relationship that excites him. And, to make it better, when that partner supports you, understands you and defends you. Resulting in a Zayn willing to go all-in for his lover.  

R&B with overtones of the most current electronics, Zayn definitely steps on the accelerator to earn the critic’s recognition and the fans affection, who have been awaiting a long time for this comeback. 

This is his latest single since his 2021 album, Nobody Is Listening, and it represents the beginning of a new stage for the singer since he parted ways with RCA Records.

Will I Am & Britney Spears — Mind Your Business

Let’s remember that Britney recently achieved what may be the most significant victory of her life. The court revoked her father as her ‘legal guardian’, liberating her from 13 years of toxic control. This empowering moment marks a turning point in her journey.

After much anticipation and teasing, the long-awaited Will.i.am and Britney collab has finally been released. Although there is no accompanying music video yet, the song seems to be dedicated to the paparazzi, who have made Britney’s life more difficult.

Britney Spears and Will.i.am have collaborated on multiple occasions. They first teamed up in 2011 for the song Big Fat Bass, featured on Britney’s album Femme Fatale. A year later, they reunited for the well-known track Scream & Shout. In 2013, Will.i.am took on the role of executive producer for Britney’s album Britney Jean, which included the hit song Work Bitch.

In a previous post, Will.i.am shared touching words in the caption, expressing his profound admiration for Britney. He referred to her as one of the most fearless, strongest, kindest, and purest individuals he has ever encountered in his life. So, we hope that Britney can live a more peaceful life after all she has been through because she deserves it.

Sam Smith — Man I Am

Part of the Barbie Soundtrack, this son has also been long awaited and Sam Smith does not disappoint with this song that highlights the importance of Ken, who, although he is a character from a pink and feminine universe, continues to maintain his size and masculinity. 

Sam Smith, having been a huge fan of Barbie since childhood, expressed his excitement on an Instagram post before releasing the song. 

     I cannot begin to express how incredibly excited I am to be a part of the soundtrack to this already iconic film. I was invited by the incredible @iammarkronson and Greta Gerwig to write a song from the perspective of Ken for one of the scenes and we honestly had so much fun with this. Barbie Soundtrack

The Barbie Movie has been one of the most awaited films of 2023, and of course, the soundtrack had to be as awesome as the movie. With artists such as Karol G, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Tame Impala, Sam Smith, The Kid LAROI, Khalid, LIZZO, Ava Max, just to mention some, the album has been finally released today July, 20, by Atlantic Records.  

Dance the Night by Dua Lipa and Watiti by Karol G, especially, have become iconic for their homage to Barbie.

As always, Dua’s music video is infused with sensuality and a pinch of Barbie’s fantasy. Her song, starting with the combination of violins and synthesizers mixed with the rythms, results in a flawless melody that perfectly complements the lyrics.  

A splendid combination of pink, shimmering outfits that cling perfectly, cascading confetti, high heels, and exquisite dancers swaying to the captivating rhythm of disco music all blend harmoniously with the allure of Dua Lipa’s figure and the power of her voice. This synergy extends to Margot Robbie, who, in her role of Barbie, follows the choreography in glimpses of the film.

Karol G’s Watiti

Karol G also pays homage to Barbie, wearing some of the most famous outfits reinterpreted her way. One of her outfits is the original black & white swimsuit, but with a sparkling touch. She also wears the 1985 astronaut suit, and the 90’s roller skater full outfit. Again, with some glimpses of the movie.  

Tinashe — Talk To Me Nice

This single is Tinashe’s lead single from her upcoming album BB/ANG3L. This captivating song delves into a fusion of dark and electronic elements, skillfully blending Tinashe’s signature R&B melodies and mesmerizing vocals. The song represents an intriguing exploration of identity transcending traditional genre boundaries.

Rels B — AfroLOVA’23

New Jeans — Get Up
