Barbenheimer is not the only thing happening today (and tomorrow), but some awesome music releases!
The Barbie Movie has been one of the most awaited films of 2023, and of course, the soundtrack had to be as awesome as the movie. With artists such as Karol G, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Tame Impala, Sam Smith, The Kid LAROI, Khalid, LIZZO, Ava Max, just to mention some, the album will be finally released tomorrow, July 21, by Atlantic Records.
Dance the Night by Dua Lipa and Watiti by Karol G, especially, have become iconic for their homage to Barbie.
Dua Lipa’s Dance the Night
As always, Dua’s music video is infused with sensuality and a pinch of Barbie’s fantasy. Her song, starting with the combination of violins and synthesizers mixed with the rythms, results in a flawless melody that perfectly complements the lyrics.
A splendid combination of pink, shimmering outfits that cling perfectly, cascading confetti, high heels, and exquisite dancers swaying to the captivating rhythm of disco music all blend harmoniously with the allure of Dua Lipa’s figure and the power of her voice. This synergy extends to Margot Robbie, who, in her role of Barbie, follows the choreography in glimpses of the film.
Karol G’s Watiti
Karol G also pays homage to Barbie, wearing some of the most famous outfits reinterpreted her way. One of her outfits is the original black & white swimsuit, but with a sparkling touch. She also wears the 1985 astronaut suit, and the 90’s roller skater full outfit. Again, with some glimpses of the movie.
We are eagerly anticipating the full release of certain songs, such as Billie’s and Sam Smith’s tracks, but thankfully our wait is almost over as they are set to be released tomorrow.
These three influential figures in the music world have joined forces, creating immense anticipation among their fans with this collab. It is worth noting that K-pop, apart from being the title of their song, refers to a highly popular South Korean music genre, which has gained global success with groups like BTS and BLACKPINK.
Given the significance of K-pop in the current music landscape, the song’s title has generated considerable buzz and heightened expectations about what this collaboration will bring. Moreover, the artists involved possess distinct musical styles, making the outcome of their collaboration uncertain yet highly anticipated.
Unlike the Barbie album scheduled for release tomorrow, this song is making its debut today, June 20, at 10:30 p.m.

Another long-awaited song from Barbie’s album is Sam Smith’s ‘perspective of Ken’ song.
I cannot begin to express how incredibly excited I am to be a part of the soundtrack to this already iconic film. I was invited by the incredible @iammarkronson and Greta Gerwig to write a song from the perspective of Ken for one of the scenes and we honestly had so much fun with this. I cannot wait for you to hear what we’ve created together» —Sam Smith’s Instagram caption.

On a previously post, Will.i.am shared some beautiful words on the caption, where demonstrated his deep respect to Britney, referring to her as one of the most fearless, strongest, kindest, purest people he has ever met in his life.
Britney Spears and Will.i.am have collaborated on multiple occasions. Their fisrt took place in 2011 when they joined forces for Big Fat Bass, a song featured on Britney’s Femme Fatale album. They rekindled their collaboration a year later for the well-known track Scream & Shout. Additionally, Will.i.am served as the executive producer for Britney’s album Britney Jean in 2013, which included the song Work Bitch.
Tomorrow, she is scheduled to launch a Deluxe edition of her renowned debut Extended Play, titled Like…?. This new version of the EP is produced by RiotUSA. Initially entering the US Billboard 200 chart at #37 upon its release, it quickly climbed to its peak position of #15.
