If there’s one thing that we’re passionate about when it comes to the relationship between artists and fans, it’s live concerts. The opportunity to get close, listen to your favorite artist, dance to their songs, and feel a deeper connection with the person who provides the soundtrack to your life is an experience that everyone should have at least once.

However, in recent months, we’ve witnessed some behavior at live shows that leaves much to be desired. The safety of many singers has been compromised by objects thrown directly onto the stages by attendees (Kelsea Ballerini, Bebe Rexa, Harry Styles, and Cardi B are just a few of those affected), often without regard for where these objects land, even with intentions to harm the artist.

On the flip side, there are instances where accidents occur without anyone being at fault. This is exactly what happened to Ellie Goulding during her latest concert. The singer, currently touring various international festivals to promote the songs from her latest album as part of the Higher Than Heaven Tour, had an accident on August 27 during her performance at the Victorious Festival when a firework from the stage hit her in the face. She continued the show immediately after.

Both concertgoers and fans of the singer, who quickly learned about the accident through videos shared on social media, were concerned about the British artist’s health once the show ended. Two days later, Ellie Goulding reassured them by updating her situation with a post on her Instagram Stories.

«For all those asking, I’m fine. Pyro didn’t hit me directly in the face. Face is intact. Love you all, x,» she wrote over a black background with an animated firework, humorously addressing the incident that had occurred a couple of days prior.

The singer, set to begin her club tour in October (where she’ll be visiting Ireland, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Germany, among other countries), promises to be an electronic experience for our ears and for the planet as well. Ellie Goulding is one of the artists most concerned about climate change, constantly advocating for responsible consumption, individual actions, and education on the possibility of a more sustainable world.

The tour announcement came with an embedded promise: «I’m acutely aware of the damage that touring does to our Planet. I love the green achievements from the Brightest Blue tour but be even more ambitious this time around. I can’t wait to see you all. Sending lots of love, Ellie,» she wrote on her Instagram account.
