Karol G has been chosen to bring the rhythm to halftime at the first NFL game streamed exclusively on YouTube, taking place on September 5 at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil. Think Super Bowl vibes—but at the start of the season.

This matchup kicks off the 2025 NFL season with the Los Angeles Chargers facing the Kansas City Chiefs (yes, Travis Kelce’s team—the current champions and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend’s squad). Not only does it open the season, but it’s also the first official NFL game ever played in South America, with Brazil as the host.

La “Bichota” herself will add Latin flavor to the event, making history alongside the biggest American football league in the world.
The show’s theme is Sounds of Latin America through Gameday Entertainment,—promising a mix of reggaetón, pop energy, and a few surprise guests (all, of course, Latin).

To set the mood, Ana Castela will perform the Brazilian national anthem, while saxophonist Kamasi Washington will put his spin on the U.S. anthem. The result? A perfect blend of cultures—right before  Carolina takes over the stage.

What Time Can You Watch From the U.S.?

If you don’t want to miss the pre-show or the exact moment Karol takes the stage, here’s when to tune in:

The best part? You don’t need a subscription or cable channel to watch. Just head to the NFL’s official YouTube channel.

A Mix of Latin Culture On One Stage

Karol G is coming in hot with the momentum of her latest album, Tropicoqueta, and a mission: to prove that Latin music can own any stage—even one as massive as the NFL. While she’s not the first Latin artist to deliver a performance of this scale, this moment is still a historic milestone in her career—cementing her leap into true global superstardom.

La ‘Bichota’ is set to turn the field into a dance floor, getting everyone singing along to her biggest hits like ‘Papacito,’ Provenza,’ ‘Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido,’ and ‘Tusa’—right in the middle of an American football game.
