Karol G is living a dream with the ‘Mañana Será Bonito’ Tour, making history and collecting unforgettable moments. This journey is supported by an increasingly large fanbase who stand by her every career move. ‘La Bichota’ has already arrived in Europe for her international tour. Recently, we learned that her summer won’t just be about these concerts, but also about a song she’s releasing in collaboration with a renowned brand, promising to become our soundtrack.

This is about «Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido (If I had Met You Before),» which will debut later this week. But before its release, the Colombian artist decided to give her fans a preview during her recent concert at the O2 in London. The song brings lively merengue-inspired beats, giving us upbeat summer vibes.

But that’s not all. Karol also wanted to explain live what the song is about and who we can dedicate it to. “This song is for when you see someone who’s already with someone else, and you think, ‘Hey, María, if it had been us… I’m sure if you had known me earlier, things would’ve been different, right?” she says in front of her hundreds of followers.

«Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido»

The video of Karol’s unexpected performance has rapidly spread on social media, where thousands of fans have celebrated her music and are eagerly anticipating its release on digital platforms (June 20th). «Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido» will be featured on her upcoming studio album.

‘La Bichota’ has been working on it for months while balancing her ‘Mañana será bonito’ tour schedule. She already hinted at its potential success with «CONTIGO,» a song where she collaborated with DJ Tiesto and Young Miko to sample Leona Lewis’s «Bleeding Love.»

Working Hard

“I’ve been working on my new album since mid-last year. Even while promoting ‘Mañana Será Bonito.’ I had my first idea in June 2023 to explore new themes in my songs […] After spending New Year’s Eve with my family in Colombia, I went to Los Angeles and began working in the studio every day.” The singer explained during a Vogue interview a few months ago.

These ideas seem to have taken her to that beachside bar or seaside shack where she’s performing for the music video of «Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido.» It’s a song where it’s clear she’s fulfilling what she explained about her upcoming music. “I want to speak for all women, exploring different perspectives. From vulnerability and weakness to empowerment and strength. I’m interested in every aspect. That’s what I think about most when making music now.”
