In LOS40 USA we already compiled a very interesting ranking of the most influential Latin artists, using social media as a reference. Now, we aim to narrow down the list and focus solely on the music: who are the most streamed artists at this point in 2025?

In this case, we will just take a look to the number of listens on the Spotify platform. Changing the indicator, we see that the list is transformed almost entirely, leaving us with a ranking mostly led by the new generation of reggaeton artists, but also including legends like Shakira and Daddy Yankee. Take a look!

1. Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny is a pioneer in every sense. The young Puerto Rican has reinvented the way music is made within the urban genre, bringing us his art through multiple daring expressions. His groundbreaking attitude has made him the most listened-to Spanish-speaking artist in the world since 2020, with 83 million monthly listeners. After his latest album ‘DtMF’, the singer of ‘BAILE INOLVIDABLE’ is dominating all the charts.

2. Shakira

The Colombian legend is the second most listened-to Latin artist worldwide, and also the second most followed. Despite her over 30-year career, Shakira remains in the orbit of fascination for her ever-growing (and intergenerational) fanbase. The diva accumulates over 62 million listeners every month on the platform. Her immortal hit «Hips Don’t Lie» surpasses 1.9 billion streams. It’s followed by «TQG,» with over 1.2 billion, and «BZRP Music Session Vol. 53» with more than 1 billion.

3. J Balvin

J Balvin could take a break for several more years and we bet he’d still maintain a good position in this ranking. Jose is undoubtedly one of the figures leading the new generation of young reggaeton artists and his rise to the top of international charts. Balvin maintains a community of over 62 million monthly listeners, with «UN DÍA (ONE DAY),» «X,» and «Qué Más Pues?» being some of his most streamed songs.

4. Karol G

Karol G continues to live her best moment, and perhaps – for now – the best year of her music career. We see a more precise and revealing materialization of her style, feelings, and experiences captured in her iconic albums «Mañana Será Bonito» and «Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season),» released only five months apart.

La Bichota boasts more than 50 million listeners each month, with «TQG» and «MAMII» being her most streamed songs on Spotify. Precisely, both talk about female empowerment, something Karol has become a global reference for.

5. Daddy Yankee

One of the founding fathers of reggaeton also joins this list as one of the main precursors of what’s happening now in Latin music. Daddy Yankee stays strong with the support of his more than 51 million listeners each month.

However, you might be surprised to know that «Gasolina» (something like reggaeton’s Rosetta Stone) isn’t Yankee’s most streamed song on Spotify. Collaborations like «Despacito,» «Con Calma,» or «China» outpace it with over a billion streams.

6. Rauw Alejandro

Rauw Alejandro may not be living his best moment, but his extensive career in reggaeton places him as one of the most influential artists in this genre. More than 49 million users dance to the rhythm of his songs each month. Cosa Nostra (2024), the latest album of the Puerto Rican star and his collaborations with his now ex-fiancee Rosalía have catapulted him more and more to a more than consolidated international success.

7. Maluma

The Don Juan of the urban genre couldn’t be absent from the ranking. Maluma’s conquests are across the board. A loyal fan base of more than 44 million listeners sing and dance to his songs every month. Especially tracks that have taken him to the top of the scene, like «Hawái,» with over 1.1 billion streams.

8. Peso Pluma

Peso Pluma is perhaps one of the breakout artists of the year, demonstrating a devastating ability to climb the charts, taking the subgenre of corridos tumbados to another level, and collaborating with some of the biggest names in the industry. The Mexican icon has more than 42 million monthly listeners in Spotify.

9. Myke Towers

Our ‘Young King’ keeps growing and growing and showing worldwide what this new generation of star reggaetoneros is about. Myke Towers has come to stay and refresh the urban genre with a unique flow, an enviable rhythm and an immeasurable ability to throw palo after palo.

His latest album LYKE MIIKE (2025) has further elevated the Puerto Rican’s recognition, and his previous song ‘LA FALDA,’ became one of the most played on TikTok in 2024. A big community of more than 40 million listeners accompanies the artist every month on Spotify.

10. Feid

Salomón Villada Hoyos, known as Feid, began his outstanding musical career as a composer of some of the most popular hits, also collaborating with J Balvin, Christina Aguilera, J Quiles, Manuel Turizo, Sebastián Yatra, and Maluma, among others. Now, he has become one of the Latin artists of reference worldwide, and also one of the most listened to in 2023, with over 38 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Hits like «Hey Mor» with Ozuna, «Classy 101» with Young Miko, or «Feliz Cumpleaños Ferxxo» explain his fast rise to success.
