Shakira will be one of the headliners at the Global Citizen Festival 2025, happening on September 27 in the iconic Central Park, New York. This event brings together music and social action, uniting thousands of people around urgent causes like education, energy equity, and the fight against extreme poverty.
The Colombian superstar will share the stage with global artists such as The Weeknd, Tyla, Ayra Starr, and Mariah the Scientist, in what promises to be an unforgettable day — not just for the music, but for the powerful message behind it. It’s a rare chance to see some of today’s biggest names performing at the same event.
For Shakira, this will be a quick break from her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. With several shows still to come across the U.S., she’s expected to kick off the next leg. In Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, and Ecuador during the final months of 2025 — a year that’s already been full of major milestones for her. But before that, she’ll take the stage at this special event, shining as one of its main stars.

For The Weeknd, this marks a quick return to the U.S. stage — just three weeks after wrapping up his After Hours Til Dawn tour, which he’s been performing since May. The Canadian artist is currently on what he’s described as his final tour under his well-known alter ego, closing a chapter in his career following the completion of his album trilogy.
