The 2026 Grammy nominations are finally here, setting the stage for another unforgettable night in music. The Recording Academy unveiled this year’s contenders on November 7 during a live-streamed announcement featuring Karol G, Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Smith, and Chappell Roan, among others.

With the list now public, the countdown is officially on for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, airing live from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on February 1, 2026, via CBS and Paramount+.

Leading the pack this year is Kendrick Lamar, with 9 nominations across major categories, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year. Right behind him is Lady Gaga with 7 nominations, followed by Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, and Leon Thomas, each scoring 6.

This year’s nominees highlight just how global and genre-blending the music scene has become—where reggaeton meets rap, R&B fuses with alternative pop, and experimentation reigns supreme. It’s one of the most competitive and forward-looking Grammy races in recent memory.

New Categories

The Recording Academy also introduced several new categories, including Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover, while renaming Best Country Album to Best Contemporary Country Album. The changes reflect a broader effort to celebrate the evolving landscape of modern music and visual artistry.
