Shortly after the incident, Santana’s manager, Michael Vrionis, released a statement to keep fans informed. “It is with profound disappointment that I have to inform you all that tonight’s show in San Antonio has been postponed. Mr. Santana was at the venue (Majestic Theatre) preparing for tonight’s show when he experienced an event that was determined to be dehydration.”
The statement continued,“Out of an abundance of caution and the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent course of action.”
Carlos Santana has been a major force in music since the 1960s, and his influence continues to reach new generations. With timeless hits like ‘Black Magic Woman’ and ‘Smooth’, his unique sound has left a lasting impact on the music world. His talent for blending different genres and his deep love for music have made him a true global icon.
The Oneness Tour 2025 kicked off on April 16 at the Yaamava’ Theater in Highland, California, and continued with shows in Phoenix and Albuquerque. Santana was scheduled to perform in Sugar Land, Texas, on Wednesday, followed by concerts in Tulsa and Thackerville, Oklahoma, over the next week.
However, due to his recent health scare, there’s still no word on whether those shows will be rescheduled. The news of his collapse and hospitalization is a reminder that even the strongest performers are not immune to health issues.
