At the end of last year, Blake Lively filed a complaint against Justin Baldoni, director and co-star of the film It Ends With Us, accusing him of sexual harassment during filming.

The movie, which deals with the challenges of escaping an abusive relationship and the emotional aftermath that follows, is based on the best-selling novel by Colleen Hoover. It became a major box office success, earning over $351 million worldwide in its release year.

Now, several months later, Lively’s lawyers have confirmed that she will testify in court, as reported by CNN. Her attorneys, Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb, stated that Lively’s participation is essential, given that the harassment reportedly took place on set. “This is a case about what happened to Blake Lively when she raised claims of sexual harassment on set and the retaliation that followed. Of course she will testify,” they said.

Her appearance before the judge has been scheduled for March 2026. According to PEOPLE magazine, attorney Mike Gottlieb added that Lively’s decision to testify is based on the belief that this trial is “The ultimate moment for a plaintiff’s story to be told is at trial.” It remains unclear whether her husband, Ryan Reynolds, will also be asked to testify.

Baldoni and Co-Star’s Response

As for Justin Baldoni, his legal team appears unconcerned about Lively’s upcoming testimony. “Although obviously uncomfortable for the Lively parties, the truth is not a distraction,” his attorney stated in response to the plaintiff’s claims. “The truth has been clearly demonstrated through receipts, documents, and actual, unedited recordings.”

According to Page Six, Lively alleges she was “disturbed” by a number of Baldoni’s creative decisions during production. Specifically, scenes she claims felt invasive and inappropriate.

One of the most serious allegations involves a birthing scene that Lively described as “violative.” She claims Baldoni introduced a “new scene” in which his longtime friend, Adam Mondschein, was cast as her character’s OBGYN, a role that required close physical proximity during a staged birth.

In response, Mondschein has denied any wrongdoing, stating that the scene was handled professionally and that Lively was never exposed in the way the complaint suggests.

“Her costume included a full hospital gown, black shorts, and a torso-covering prosthetic to make her appear pregnant, in addition to whatever personal garments she chose,” he said. He also added that Lively never voiced any discomfort during filming and that “nothing unusual or improper occurred.”

The case remains ongoing, with Lively expected to testify in March 2026.
