The trial between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has been scheduled for March 9, 2026, according to an order from Judge Lewis J. Liman. This legal confrontation arises from a series of mutual accusations between the two Hollywood stars.
Lively, 37, filed a lawsuit in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment by Baldoni during the filming of the movie It Ends With Us. She also accused Baldoni and his team of orchestrating a defamation campaign against her in retaliation for her allegations.
In response, Justin Baldoni, 41, countersued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloane for defamation and extortion, seeking $400 million in damages. Baldoni claims that Lively attempted to take over the creative control of the movie and damaged his reputation through media manipulation.
Recently, a voice note was leaked in which Baldoni apologized to Lively, admitting to being a «flawed man» and acknowledging that he «fell short» in certain situations during the production of the film.

“I’m really sorry. I for sure fell short and you worked really hard on that. «I f****d up. One thing you should know about me is that I will admit and apologise when I fail. I am far from perfect and I’m a very flawed man, as my wife will attest,» Baldoni stated in the voice note.
This apology followed a dispute over changes Lively made to a scene in the movie.
Both parties have strongly denied the other’s allegations, and their legal teams are preparing their strategies for trial. A pretrial hearing, initially set for February 12, has been moved up to February 3, 2025, to address Lively’s request for a gag order against Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, who has disclosed evidence to counter Lively’s claims.
The case has sparked significant attention in Hollywood and among fans of both actors, as it highlights the complexities of professional relationships in the film industry and the legal ramifications of disputes involving high-profile celebrities.
