The Evening of the Year 5 (La Velada del Año 5) has become one of the most anticipated events. Not only in the streaming world but also in urban music and youth culture. This year, the event will take place on July 26 in Seville. Although Ibai Llanos revealed the first details on March 10, there’s still a lot left to discover, and he plans to reveal more little by little in the lead-up to the big day.
Now that the fight lineup is confirmed, one of the biggest questions is: who will take the stage? So far, no artists have been officially announced, which has led to plenty of speculation and excitement among fans.
Everyone has their own wishlist, but one name keeps coming up: Bad Bunny. For many, his presence would be the ultimate dream. With the continued success of his latest album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, there’s no doubt he’d get the entire stadium dancing—and fans watching from home too.
Honestly, he’d probably make us miss Puerto Rico as if we were born there ourselves… and that, after all, might’ve been exactly what Benito intended.
Ibai Llanos Responds
So far, Ibai hasn’t confirmed or denied anything, but he has dropped a few hints about the possibility. “I’ve spoken with Bad Bunny again this year—well, not me directly, but people from my team talked to his. We’ve had a good relationship ever since we did that Twitch stream back in May 2021, when we played FIFA,” he said during a car ride.
He went on to joke: “Un Verano Sin Ti was a success thanks to you guys—my Twitch chat. Bad Bunny even said in an interview, ‘If it weren’t for Twitch chat, Un Verano Sin Ti wouldn’t have been a hit.’ So thanks, everyone, you basically made his career,” he said, maybe exaggerating just a bit—after all, Bad Bunny’s talent probably had something to do with it.
At least he was quick to admit it: “Obviously not. The promo I gave Bad Bunny probably had an impact of about 0.0000001%. But it’s true that our teams have had a good relationship ever since.”
Bad Bunny at The Evening of the Year 5?
When it comes to what everyone’s eager to know—who will be performing at La Velada 5. Ibai gave a rather cryptic response: “Bad Bunny isn’t coming to La Velada, but that doesn’t mean I can’t go with Bad Bunny.” With that, he left fans with even more questions.
He went on to say: “Bad Bunny isn’t coming to Spain, but… could I go to Puerto Rico? That’s the big question right now. He’s not attending, but I’m trying to find a way for him to be involved somehow. I don’t know exactly how to explain it… maybe a short appearance, I’m still thinking about it,” he added, suggesting that El Conejo Malo hasn’t been completely ruled out.
What he did confirm was: “I’ve got a big name lined up but… I really can’t give any more spoilers.” And of course, we’re all hoping he eventually does. Whatever surprises he has in store, they’ll no doubt add something special to an event that’s already shaping up to be a massive success.
