It’s been a week since Zac Efron’s health scare following an accident in Ibiza during his vacation. The High School Musical star reportedly had to be rushed to the nearest hospital after a pool incident while trying to cool off from the intense heat in Spain.

TMZ initially reported that two bystanders found Efron and pulled him from the water. Later, sources close to the actor claimed he was hospitalized as a ‘precautionary measure’ and is now out of danger, though this account might not be entirely accurate.

The Story Behind Zac Efron’s Accident, According to Socialité

A few days after the incident, Zac Efron posted a picture on social media showing him working out and looking healthy and happy. But how accurate was this portrayal? According to journalist Jaume Miranda from the Spanish show Socialité, the actor downplayed the situation by leaking the news himself.

“I have very close sources at the hospital, and they told me what really happened. Zac Efron was admitted at 6:26 a.m., brought in by villa staff who were very concerned about his condition,” Jaume explained.

“He was unconscious,” Jaume added, noting that the medical team was deeply worried. Socialité also suggested this might have been a relapse into the addictions that Efron claimed to have overcome months ago, though this has not been confirmed by the actor or his representatives.
