During his appearance at the iconic Coachella festival, J Balvin brought a truly special guest: none other than the iconic actor from Bad Boys, I Am Legend, and Men in Black movies, none other than Will Smith himself. For those who might find this appearance somewhat unexpected, it’s worth noting that the actor began his career as a rapper and has several musical hits like «Gettin‘ Jiggy Wit It» and «Miami».

The talented actor also sings several songs from the movies he has starred in, such as the 2019 live-action adaptation of Aladdin. However, one of his biggest hits on the big screen has been the Men in Black series. He also performs the official theme song of the 1997 film.

As mentioned earlier, J Balvin surprised everyone when he unexpectedly introduced Smith. He appeared toward the end of the Colombian singer’s extraterrestrial-themed set to perform the famous «Men in Black» theme. With green aliens dancing in the background, Smith sang a part of the song, bringing back memories of the film.

At the end of the performance, in a nod to the movie, Smith pulled out his ‘neuralyzer’ to playfully ‘erase’ the audience’s memories. However, his appearance was so memorable that it will take much more to forget such a spectacle. Also, did you know that the actor has collaborated with more Latin artists?

Will Smith Collabs with Latin Artists

Marc Anthony & Bad Bunny

Yes, although it may seem like an unusual combination, Smith has a song with Marc Anthony and Bad Bunny titled «Está Rico.» Released in 2018, the song has racked up over 200 million views on YouTube.

Bomba Estéreo

In 2015, the Colombian group surprised fans by releasing a song with the actor. Bomba Estéreo is known for blending various genres like electronic music, rock, reggae, alternative reggaeton, and rap with Caribbean Colombian rhythms such as cumbia and champeta. Their collaboration with Smith, titled «Fiesta,» reflects this diverse mix.

Nicky Jam

Nicky Jam appeared in the third Bad Boys movie and also teamed up with Smith for the official song of the 2018 World Cup, «Live it Up.»
